Design for wiser action

“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.” – Yoko Ono

When people come together to collaborate and solve wicked problems, it’s usually driven by a desire to “get shit done!” “There’s a problem to solve? Let’s get into it and fix it.”

Thinking back to what we know about working in complexity, sloooowwwwing doooowwwn to listen to everyone’s perspective and contribute their skills, can feel uncomfortable, and is vital to sustaining the work over the long term. These intractable problems need us for the long haul.

The Design for Wiser Action is a fast, creative tool for harvesting ideas worth exploring without limits. The research and details can come later.

This powerful collaborative framework is for developing projects and initiatives through diverse perspectives.

This process invites:

  • participants to contribute their unique experiences and insights, fostering collective creativity
  • valuable support and guidance for project leaders, while simultaneously unlocking the potential of collective intelligence.
  • a sense of community while exploring collective and individual impact
  • opportunity to build our skills of asking powerful questions, decision making, accountability and responsibility.

In essence, a ‘project caller’ presents their initiative and invites a group to collaboratively explore key questions – such as purpose, audience, and methodology – leading to insightful solutions and actionable strategies for successful implementation.
